Laser Tissue Interaction

 

At the beginning of the lecture, the basics of optics are reviewed. To gain a deeper understanding, the propagation of light in scattering media is treated. This understanding explains the interaction between tissue and light. Finally, various applications for diagnosis and therapy in the medical environment are discussed. The lecture will be accompanied by an exercise.
